The Syracuse University Wind Ensemble is the premier wind performing group in the Setnor School of Music. The Wind Ensemble performs a wide array of wind repertoire ranging from traditional to contemporary works, the Wind Ensemble provides a comprehensive and dynamic musical setting for performers and audiences alike.
Two concerts are presented each semester on campus in the Setnor Auditorium with guest soloists and conductors adding to the varied musical experiences. Recent guests to campus have included Dr. Paula Crider, Dr. Shanti Simon, Prof. Jerry Luckhardt, Prof. Laura Cmet, Dr. Cathy Likhuta, and Prof. Jerry Junkin.
During the 2022-2023 school year, the Wind Ensemble was a featured ensemble at the annual NYSSMA Conference and toured The United Kingdom in May of 2023.
