Syracuse University Bands offers a comprehensive array of concert ensembles at every level. From elite audition-only ensembles to ensembles centered on those majoring in other areas, but want to keep making music in their lives, there is a place for you to make music at Syracuse University.

Wind Ensemble

The Syracuse University Wind Ensemble is the premier wind performing group in the Setnor School of Music. Under the direction of Dr. Bradley Ethington, the Wind Ensemble performs a wide array of wind repertoire ranging from traditional to contemporary works, the Wind Ensemble provides a comprehensive and dynamic musical setting for performers and audiences alike.

Two concerts are presented each semester on campus in the Setnor Auditorium with guest soloists and conductors adding to the varied musical experiences.

Concert Band

The Concert Band is a non-auditioned concert ensemble open to both music majors and non-majors under the direction of Dr. Timothy Diem. It offers an opportunity to perform outstanding large-band works.

The Concert Band meets on Wednesdays from 5:15-7:15 PM during the spring semester and provides an excellent opportunity for all students from across campus to make music in a concert setting. The Concert Band performs twice during the semester in Setnor Auditorium.
